I am amazed by the light this afternoon...creamy and golden. This is summer in its texture and countenance. This is bare feet and exposed arm. This is iced tea in tall glasses running with condensation. Amen.
You may have noticed that the site is acting a bit strange. All should be resolved in the coming weeks...
I am sending large waves of gratitude to all who came out to Passim recently, both at the cutting edge of the campfire (especially those of you who bravely arrived at midnight Friday night) and the two nights that I took up with Ben Demerath and Lori McKenna last week. I had an amazing time. Lord it was hot Thursday night...no more playing with my hair down till Thanksgiving. I leave on Wednesday for a two night run with Richard Shindell in PA and NJ and then end the week on Sunday night at The Prodigal Son in Hyannis, MA (see: On The Road). I am going to dip myself into the Atlantic Ocean and see what happens next. I am hoping for sand in my bathing suit and seaweed in my hair.
Till next week, ciao!
